Since the mid-1990s, Mr. Berrizbeitia has also had a substantial presence in the real estate industry, guiding commercial and residential development projects spanning the country. As CEO and president of Azul Real Estate, he has co-developed a number of urban development projects across Baja California. He has also overseen a variety of hospitality developments, and he successfully operated a hotel in Mexico for many years. He coordinates closely with investors in defining the market landscape and taking advantage of opportunities as they arise.
An auto racing enthusiast, Mr. Berrizbeitia enjoys attending events of the North American Ferrari Challenge Series. He also has a longstanding interest in boating and fishing, and takes part in a full range of marine activities.
